Easter Day at Berwick St James was a festival of flowers. The beautifully decorated crosses on the railings of the church were a reminder of the joy of Easter and welcomed us all into the church. A church full of people sang the traditional Easter hymns with gusto and we rejoiced at the wonder of the empty tomb - after considering the disappointment of an empty chocolate egg......
The flowers everywhere we looked were simply glorious and we expressed our gratitude and wonder for the skills, time and generosity of all who had arranged them. Reminded that Easter day is the beginning not the end, we were able to wish each other, and all of you, a very Happy Easter, and resolved to continue celebrating for several weeks to come!
