St Peter’s at Winterbourne Stoke hosted its first Café style church service on Sunday 23rd November. The theme was God’s creation, with a focus on the smaller creatures covered by the hymn ‘All creatures great and small’. We prayed for both the beautiful and the ugly, and reflected on their complexity and on our role in ensuring they all thrive. The children joined in, colouring and completing bug themed pictures and puzzles. And all of this was accompanied by freshly brewed coffee☕️,or juice, and biscuits 🍪.
We look forward to doing something similar on Stir up Sunday, 27th November, when we can not only stir up Christmas pud mixture, but take it home to cook 😋.
