The day started warm but cloudy, with a threat of rain. So, we had to decide whether to hold the Berwick St James' pet service inside the church or outdoors. Eventually, the consensus was for outdoors, where, on the first day of Creationtide, pets and their owners could commune with nature - once they'd finished communing with each other.......
......and posing for the cameras!
But all were very well-behaved throughout - the animals as well - and the rain held off.
There were refreshments afterwards..... and more posing!
